Nice anchor! Someone did their homework with this one. Primary for our deck boat recreational type use.

We have a number of small dinghy anchors – a 25lb cylinder of lead, a stainless steel grapnel, a 7 lb folding galvanized grapnel, a blue plastic Cooper plow, and a galvanized Mantus dinghy anchor. The Mantus is by far the best and is the one we use. It sets quickly, solidly, and reliably when it lands right side up on a sand or mud bottom; which is 90% of the time or better. However, if it lands inverted it will not flip over and set. It must be lifted and retried. This happens most often in the shallow water at a dinghy dock when the anchor is thrown out to use as a stern anchor.

I use the 2.5 lb dinghy mantus anchor to anchor my pwc in the river current of the Colorado River. The anchor sets with ease and digs in and stays buried right where you put it. It’s the best anchor I’ve used to combat current drift. I will definitely buy another for my other pwc after the test run went so well.

I recently completed the 750 mile Race to Alaska from Port Townsend, WA to Ketchikan, AK in an 18′ trimaran. It took three weeks and whenever I stopped for a short break or to rest overnight, I set my Mantus dinghy anchor. The BC coast can be a tough place to anchor, but my Mantus never failed me, even in a couple areas that weren’t well protected from the elements. I am a huge fan of their design and will be placing more on my other boats. I highly recommend Mantus anchors.

I purchased the 17lb for the bow and loved it. Bought this one to throw off the back when anchored up at a sand bar. Works awesome!

Well made and works great. We have three Mantus anchors aboard. Best insurance policy you will ever buy.
