We have a 25′ Laguna Windrose that we sail on a large inland lake. The wind can get gusty at night. I will sleep a lot better having this hook down instead of the smaller Danforth. The anchor is very sturdy and the shipping and packaging was great.

I had been using a Hooker 13 lb. Danforth style anchor and I was amazed at how much more rapidly the Mantus set and how tenacious its hold was. I was anchoring in a soft, muddy bottom and wasn’t expecting too much, but the Mantus 17 anchor set immediately and held with a solidity that made it feel like the far end of the anchor line was tied to a dock. My boat swung in multiple directions while at anchor during a tide change, but the Mantus 17 never dragged at all. Yet when it was time to pull the anchor, I simply motored over it and my light-duty windlass pulled it up with ease. This is how anchors are supposed to work.

I have a Proline 24 Super Sport center console and needed a new anchor, My Danforth was no longer working and was taking too many tries to hold. I saw your anchor on Ship Shape TV and decided to try it. It works as advertised one hit and it held strong.

Excellent Anchor I recommend it highly.

I’ve tried Danforth I’ve tried a fortress I’ve tried a ronca now that I have my mantus I won’t be switching back bites instantly holds for firm. I have a Wellcraft 290 Coastal with 30 ft of anchor chain 300 ft of Road and as I was setting the mantus for the first time it bitten held onto the bottom before the chain was all the way out of the bow roller. Great anchor

This a fantastic anchor. I purchased the 17 but I feel a 13lb anchor would have done the job for me just fine. I own a 41ft velocity performance boat. It weighs 9000 lbs. This thing sticks in the weeds where my guardian would just pull up a big mop of weeds and never hook up. It is hard to find a safe place in the boat for it so I’m storing it in the engine bay. I may go to the 13 lb because this works so good.

We own a 26′ Premier. We’ve used other anchors in the past but none have held consistently. I reviewed several anchors and saw a Youtube video with the Mantas Anchor. We have had a great summer on the water because we now have a reliable anchor that we should have purchased years ago.
