The number of attachment points. A single leg snubber runs one line from the chain to a single bow cleat — simpler to deploy and stow. A bridle runs two legs to spread the load across both sides of the bow. Catamarans use the Catamaran Bridle, which attaches to both hulls’ bow eye-bolts.
Choose by boat length: Small (5/8″ rope, 23 feet) for boats 30–40 feet, Medium (3/4″ rope, 26 feet) for 40–50 feet, and Large (1″ rope, 30 feet) for 50–70 feet. Rope strength steps up from 12,200 lbs ultimate breaking strength for the Small to 29,400 lbs for the Large.
With a Mantus chain hook sized to fit your chain. For mooring balls, use the Mantus Mooring Snap Shackle instead.
