Anchor is solid and easy to assemble. I have not put on the boat yet.
I have a 21′ boat a little over 3000#. Fish mostly lakes, sometimes big rivers that have strong current, Think Columbia. I struggled trying to decide between the 8# and 13#. I always lean toward over kill so I went with the 13#. Okay, there might be a time when I need that 13# but if I had to replace It would be the 8#. Don’t let the weight be the influence. It’s the biggest 13# anchor I’ve ever had. Imho If your boat is under 25′ and you’re not spending the night the 8# will be all you need 99% of the time and much easier to store.
