Just started using a new mantus 55 lb anchor which replaces a Rocna. Huge improvement in setting- I have to back down much more slowly as the anchor now will really set hard- I have all chain so don’t want to cause a shock load when the anchor sets. Mantus was great to order from- great customer service, anchor arrived quickly and packaged very well, very easy to assemble.

Purchased for a customer here at Bennett Brothers Yachts and they were very happy with your product !

I just purchased a 55lb Mantus. I am extremely impressed with its setting and holding. I anchored my Hunter 42 in the Chesapeake last night in 25 kt winds. Even while I was still at 3:1 the anchor dug in and held firmly. At 5:1 I didn’t move an inch all night. I previously used a Bruce, Supermax, Delta and Fortress. They all dragged in the mud here. Mantus designed a sturdy anchor that does the job right the first time.

I have only had a chance to use it a couple of times so far, but it has set quickly and held steady. It would have been a 5 star review but before I purchased it I was under the impression that it would fit the anchor roller and the roll bar is a little too big which is going to cause me to have to modify it.

I bought my Mantus 55lb last season and used it more than a few times on the Chesapeake and like others have said, this anchor sets very quickly and hard, you can really feel the boat stop as it sets when backing down. Very happy and confident with this anchor. The people and customer service at Mantus are first rate offering great products….their tee shirts are really soft by the way!

Bought to replace a damaged spade anchor. Set the first try, held well through 20 knot winds and small squall on my 43 ft. Hunter. Wish I had made the switch sooner.
