This is our second Mantus on our second boat. The first one held our 50ft ketch through a full season in the Florida Keys. Instant bite in sand, grass, and muck. The Mantus held through sudden 40, 50 and even 65 knot squalls.
We have never had our Mantus fail us. In one squall in the open roadstead at Marathon in the Keys, we held after a 110 degree wind shift and then 40+ knts, while three other boats ended up running their engines to keep from dragging up on to the beach. All BS aside, nothing hooks up and then holds like a Mantus.
