What do Day, Cruising, and Storm anchor ratings mean?

Every Mantus anchor size carries three recommendations based on wind strength. A Day Anchor rating covers winds under 30 knots. A Cruising Anchor rating covers winds under 50 knots and is the right choice for most boats as a primary anchor. A Storm Anchor rating covers winds over 50 knots.

For any given boat, you step up one anchor size per tier: a boat that takes a 45 lb anchor for day use takes a 55 lb as a cruising anchor and a 65 lb as a storm anchor.
